It was many and many a year ago,

In a kingdom by the sea,

That a maiden there lived whom you may know
당신이 알지도 모를 소녀 거기 살았네.

By the name of Annabel Lee:
그녀의 이름은 에너벨 리.

And this maiden she lived with no other thought
나를 사랑하고 나에게 사랑받는 것외에

Than to love and be loved by me.
이 소녀 다른 생각없이 살았네.




She was a child and I was a child,
그녀는 아이었고 나도 어렸지만,

In this kingdom by the sea:
바닷가 이 왕국에서

But we loved with a love that was more than love-
우리 사랑했네. 사랑보다 더한 사랑으로.

I and my Annabel Lee-
나와 나의 에너벨 리는-

With a love that the winged seraphs of heaven
천국의 날개달린 천사들도

Coveted her and me.
그녀와 나를 탐내던 사랑으로




And this was the reason that, long ago,

A wind blew out of a cloud, chilling

The angels, not half so happy in Heaven,
천국에서 반도 행복하지 않았던 천사들이

Went envying her and me:-
그녀와 나를 시기했네.

Yes, that was the reason(as all men know, IN this kingdom by the sea)
그래, 그것이 이유였네.(바닷가 이 왕국 모든이가 알고 있듯)

That the wind came out of the cloud by night
한 밤에 구름 밖으로 나온 바람이

Chilling and killing my Annabel Lee.
나의 에너벨 리를 싸늘하게 숨지게 한 것은.




But our love it was stronger by far than the love
그러나 우리 사랑 훨씬 강했네.

Of thouse who were older than we-
우리보다 나이 많은 사람들의 사랑보다

Of many far wiser than we-
우리보다 훨씬 현명한 사람들의 사랑보다

And neither the angels in Heaven above,
그리고 천상의 천사들과

Nor the demons down under the sea,
심해의 정령들 조차

Can over dissever my soul from the soul
아름다운 에너벨 리의

Of the beautiful Annabel Lee:-

For the moon never beams, without bringing me dreams
